Dear Members,
These are really challenging times for everyone around the globe as we are bombarded with tragic news stories and adjust to a new "normal". In our sector alone, we have seen many foreign currency houses close but we wanted to notify you that we are not.
Now more than ever people need access to their money and the ability to convert their foreign exchange be it in physical banknotes or electronically from bank accounts. People need us to stay open, whether it's to send money to loved ones abroad or to simply provide more liquidity closer to home
Whatever your requirement, we are open and here for you and our service will run as normal.
How are we doing it?
On the travel money online service, we will still be processing online orders as usual. You can buy and sell back your unused currencies as long as the Royal Mail service continues to operate- which at the time of writing they still are.
Rest assured that our cash centre has had the necessary precautions to keep our team safe. We have implemented more frequent intraday cleaning of surfaces and machines. Masks and gloves are compulsory to those in our team who are directly involved with the pick and packing process. We have also re formatted our centres so that our cash handlers are not in close proximity to one another and we have re-worked our staff rotas so there are fewer staff in the cash centre at any given time.
On the International Payments side of the business you can expect no disruption to our service. Our team are working remotely and have been set up to conduct their work from home.
We are also doing our level best to keep morale high with everyone in our team, given that not only has the work environment changes but the social element too.
As a business we are doing our best to stay on top of any changes. Be it logistically or from governments. If we do see any challenges with delivering money, be it in the form of physical currency or electronically we shall be in touch via our website and app.
The next few months will no doubt be difficult, there is no question about that but it is important to stay positive and we as a business intend to work through it. The whole team at The Currency Club have worked hard to build a solid business and are members at the heart of all we do. You have been loyal to us and we have a responsibility to you. We promise to continue to exchange and move your money securely and efficiently during these surreal times.
For now though, let's keep things simple: remember to think of others, stay safe and be positive!
